SSS offers loan amnesty in April

SSS President and CEO Emilio de Quiros Jr announced on Monday that amnesty will given to all employees, self-employed workers and voluntary members of SSS with overdue loans to settle the unpaid accounts without paying the penalty in full under the new amnesty program that will start on April 2.

SSS will waive 100% of the penalties of delinquent accounts if this is not their fault such like employers not remitting the monthly amortization despite SSS deduction of loan payment in their salaries.

To be eligible in the amnesty program, SSS members must have at least 3 contributions within the last 6 months before the month of application and present proof that amortization was deducted in your pay slip/envelope, company certification and notarized affidavits.

SSS members can pay the principal and interest in full at 3% annual interest rate.

The Amnesty program will start on April 2 and deadline of applications will be on September 30.
